Grant Categories

Spark Grants

Awarded to innovative organizations in early stages of development that  are addressing a gap in the field of gender equity, these grants are for $20,000 paid over an 18-month period. 

In 2025, the Hadassah Foundation will award grants of $20,000 each to four organizations. Both Israeli and U.S.-based organizations will be invited to apply. Grants will be paid out in two installments of $10,000 each. Organizations must meet at least one of these criteria:

• Have an organization budget of $500,000 or less (in U.S. dollars), OR
• Been in existence for 10 or fewer years.

Grantmaking schedule:

  • Applications are being accepted until Monday, July 28.  Download RFP.
  • October: Interviews with finalists
  • December: All applicants notified of funding decisions
  • February 2026: Grants announced publicly and first grant payments sent

Core Grants: United States

For leading organizations and programs that promote gender equity in the United States, these $80,000 grants are awarded over three years.

 

In 2025, the Hadassah Foundation will award grants of $80,000 each to three U.S.-based organizations. Grants will be paid out over three years ($30,000 in the first year; $30,000 in the second year; and $20,000 in the final year.) Organizations must have annual budgets between $200,000 (U.S. dollars) and $5 million.

 

  • We are no longer accepting applications.
  • July 28: Interviews with finalists
  • October 1: All applicants notified of funding decisions
  • January 2026: Grants announced publicly and first grant payments sent.

Core Grants: Israel

For leading organizations and programs that promote gender equity in Israel, these $80,000 grants are awarded over three years.

 

In 2025, the Hadassah Foundation will award grants of $80,000 each to five Israeli organizations. Grants are paid out over three years ($30,000 in the first year; $30,000 in the second year, and $20,000 in the final year.) Organizations must have annual budgets between $200,000 (U.S. dollars) and $5 million.

 

  • We are no longer accepting applications.
  • June 15: All applicants notified of funding decisions.
  • August: Grants announced publicly and first grant payments sent.
