Sparks of Hope for Passover

April 10, 2025

The Jewish holiday of Passover celebrates not just freedom but spring and new life. So it seems like a particularly appropriate time to announce the Hadassah Foundation’s newest cohort of Spark grant recipients.

Hadassah Foundation Spark grants are designed to support newer nonprofits that are meeting pressing and emergent needs for women and girls in Israel and the U.S. Jewish community. The new Spark grantee organizations are:

I Was Supposed to Have a Baby supports Jewish individuals and families throughout the U.S. who are navigating the complexities of fertility challenges and pregnancy loss. Serving as a network hub and connector, I Was Supposed to Have a Baby has 40 organizational partners located throughout the country that work with multiple Jewish denominations; offer a mix of programming, counseling, and education services; and address various issues within the field of fertility and pregnancy loss.

Future Holders runs a unique training program in Israel’s periphery for Arab and Jewish girls, guiding them in Artificial Intelligence systems development, launching initiatives to address local climate challenges, and collaborating with senior women in high-tech companies like Amdocs and Microsoft. It is the only organization that combines women’s advancement, coexistence, innovative AI technologies, and the environmental sector.

ProWoman is dedicated to advancing gender equality and fostering economic empowerment for women in Israel. Each year ProWoman directly engages 600 female students and young women in leadership programs while supporting an alumni network of over 4,000 women who continue to benefit from professional workshops, mentoring, and job opportunities.

We are confident that with our support, these organizations will grow and flourish, joining the community of early Hadassah Foundation grant recipients that have become thriving and vital parts of the feminist ecosystem.
