Our Story
The Hadassah Foundation leads the movement to revolutionize the role, perception, and impact of all who identify as women and girls in Israel and the American Jewish community. Established by Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America in 1998 to refocus the priorities of the Jewish community through creative grantmaking, the Hadassah Foundation has awarded more than $10 million to over 100 organizations. We believe that advancing gender equity in Israel and the United States through collective funding, relationship building and education, will foster lasting change and positive impact for people of all genders.

In 25+ years, our grantmaking has built a vibrant network of feminist organizations in Israel and the U.S. Our programs and grants elevate and empower women and girls in leadership roles, confront gender-based violence, increase female political representation – and much more.
