The Hadassah Foundation is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) from early-stage organizations that work through a gender lens, are creating social change, and strengthen the leadership capacity and role of self-identifying women and girls in Israel or the United States Jewish community.
Spark grants of $20,000 each will be awarded to three organizations that work to build a future in which women and girls live safer lives as fully participating members and leaders of their societies and communities.
Eligibility: Organizations must have a budget of $500,000 or less (in U.S. dollars) and be 10 years old or younger. Proposals will also be accepted from initiatives that are independent projects of larger organizations or institutions if the initiative does not receive financial support (not including in-kind support) from the larger organization.
Applications must be completed on Submittable by 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 12 pm ET.
Priority will be given to initiatives that utilize one or more of these key strategies:
- Collective approaches that promote collaboration among organizations or networks, leveraging their shared resources, expertise, and influence.
- Integration of research and advocacy to implement data-driven strategies that enhance the understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by women and girls, and to promote policy changes that are in line with these findings.
- Community education and empowerment to raise public awareness and encourage collective action for the advancement of women’s rights and gender equity.
Grants are for unrestricted support. For more information on Spark grants, eligibility, and the application process, please view the RFP. Please note that the PDF version of the application questions that is included with the RFP is for reference purposes only. All proposals must be completed on Submittable.
